3 Days Fez to Marrakech Desert Tour
Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
Departing from Fes at 07:30 a.m., our 3-Day Fez to Marrakech Desert Tour begins its southward journey, pausing in the captivating city of Ifrane, often called the Moroccan Switzerland for its unique architecture shaped by heavy snow. We’ll also visit the UNESCO-listed cedar forest, home to endangered Babary Macaques. After lunch in Midelt or Zaida, we’ll wind through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, with a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley en route to the Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert via Erfoud. Here, enjoy a camel ride timed perfectly for sunset, followed by a delicious meal in our luxurious desert camp’s restaurant or under the stars, with the option to stargaze before retiring to your tent.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
Experience the magical sunrise on day two of our 3-Day Fez to Marrakech Desert Tour. Enjoy breakfast in our café or amidst the soft morning light outdoors before a refreshing shower. Journey through the lush Dades Valley, stopping at a fossil factory in Erfoud to witness the fascinating process. Take a leisurely stroll through the impressive Todra Gorge, renowned for its towering cliffs. Arrive in the Dades Valley in the late afternoon, allowing ample time to explore its natural beauty.
Day 3: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
On the final day of our 3-Day Fez to Marrakech Desert Tour, after breakfast at your accommodation or Riad, we’ll visit the Valley of the Roses to learn about rose-based products. Passing through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” we’ll see the Atlas Film Studios, famous for numerous international films. Later, we’ll explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Village with its historic Kasbahs. After lunch, our journey to Marrakech includes stops for photos and relaxation along the scenic route through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m). Arriving in Marrakech late afternoon marks the end of our memorable 3-day adventure from Fes to Marrakech.
