Stroll through its lovely streets, which are adorned with remnants of its Portuguese fortress from the 15th century.You'll arrive at the Roman Ruins of Volubilis after passing through the fertile Gharb plain. Take a guided walking tour of this archaeological site to learn about the history of the Roman civilization, which settled not only in Morocco but also throughout North Africa.The 17th-century former imperial city of Meknes is next on the itinerary. Admire the splendors of this charming city, which the late Alaouite Sultan Moulay Ismail transformed into one of the world's most beautiful cities, earning it the title of Moroccan Versailles. Begin your journey at the impressive Bab Mansour gate, which overlooks El-Hedim Square. Take a stroll through the bustling olive market, as Meknes is known as the "Olive Capital."
